The IMAGO, association of the European national societies of cinematographers , this year for the first time grants the IMAGO INTERNATIONAL AWARDS FOR CINEMATOGRAPHY 2017 in the categories Feature Film, Television Drama and Documentary Film. The selection committee of the German Society of Cinematographers BVK decided to send three films into the European contest: Manifesto (DoP: Christoph Krauss, director: Julian Rosefeldt), Der Fall Barschel (DoP: Benedict Neuenfels, director: Kilian Riedhof) and Shot in the Dark (director and DoP: Frank Amann).
